The Regional Information and Communication Technology Management Division 7 formulates, updates, and disseminates IT policies, guidelines, and standards towards the proper development and implementation of information systems in the PNP.  The office also provides computer-based information systems development, data processing, systems support, and conducts IT-related research and training services.

Mission

The RICTMD7 shall design, develop, implement and maintain Information Systems, Databases and Data Communication Network for the PNP.

Vision

The RICTMD shall be the primary office that will provide the technical expertise to develop and maintain relevant Information Systems and Services for the PNP given the adequate resources.

Functions

1. Designs, implements and maintains application systems identified in the ICT plan of different PNP units/offices
2. Coordinates application development activities in the units/office through request
3. Supports the implementation, operation, maintenance and enhancement of information systems of the PNP
4. Designs, implements, maintains and upgrades computer network infrastructure
5. Maintains troubleshoot and upgrades PNP computer hardware and peripherals
6. Conducts and maintains inventory of all PCs and other IT peripherals to include its disposal base on existing policies and procedures
7. Establishes and manages database administration of different information systems
8. Designs web base projects (website)
9. Upgrades and maintains the website of the PRO
10. In charge in monitoring, review and publication of information to the web in coordination with concerned Regional Staff; and
11. Performs other related functions as may be directed by the C, RICTMD
