Mandaue City Police Office

Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) originally started as a single police station that stationed at the Mandaue City Hall, under the Cebu Metropolitan District Command.  It later on became a Police Office on 1994 when Mandaue City Government, through Resolution Nr 170-94, donated a portion of its lot for construction of a building intended for the Mandaue City Police Office.  The construction was funded by the Philippine National Police and implemented in September 1997.  The building was fully materialized in the early 1998, inaugurated and turned-over to the PNP on May 2, 1998.  The turn-over ceremony was done during the incumbency of DIR/GEN SANTIAGO L ALIÑO, Chief PNP, PSSUPT DANILO G FLORES, RD, PRO7 and Mayor Alfredo M Ouano, Mandaue City.

The City of Mandaue is bounded on the north by the town of Consolacion, on the south by the chartered city of Lapu-lapu, and on the West, by Cebu City. Consequently, it has a land area of 3487 hectares, constituted by twenty seven (27) barangays and holds a population of 340,985.

MCPO is located along Andres Soriano Ave., Barangay Centro, Mandaue City. To better serve the Mandaue City community, it currently has eleven (11) staff offices, six (6) police stations and three (3) special units.

Mandaue City is one of the highly urbanized cities in the country. It is the city next to Cebu City in the north and is considered the industrial district of Cebu Province because of its factories and other industrial plants. World-class factories and industrial plants such as the San Miguel Brewery, Norkis Trading, the distributor of Yamaha motorcycles, and many more, are located in the City. Its economy is continually growing.
