PRO 7 Promotes 49 Policemen

Promoted to the next higher rank are the forty-nine (49) Police Officers in Central Visayas broken down as follows: 3 from Police Chief Inspector to Police Superintendent; 3 from Police Senior Inspector to Police Chief Inspector; 40 Police Inspector to Police Senior Inspector; and 3 from Senior Police Officer 4 to Police Inspector.

In a formal ceremony held at PRO7 Headquarters on January 22, 2013, the pinning of ranks and oath of office was administered by PRO7 Regional Director, PCSUPT MARCELO P GARBO JR. with the attendance of the Command Group, Directorial Staff, Special Staff, and relatives of the promotees.

PRO7 Distributes New PNP Motorcycles

The Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) turned-over brand new motorcycles to the different Police Stations in Central Visayas on December 10, 2012 held at the Regional Headquarters.

Officiated the blessing ceremony was PSUPT ARNULFO A CASTILLO, PRO7 Regional Chaplain. A total of seventeen (17) newly acquired 200 CC motorcycles were issued to Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO), Bohol Provincial Police Office (BPPO), Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (NOPPO) and Cebu City Police Office (CCPO).

Fresh Batch of New Police Officers 1 Took their Oath

The youngest members of Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) took oath before their loved ones and family in a ceremony held at the Regional Headquarters on December 3, 2012.

Officiated the oath taking was PRO7 Deputy Regional Director for Administration PCSUPT SAMUEL M YORDAN. He congratulated the 165 successful PNP applicants for the 2012 Second Semester PO1 Attrition Recruitment Program. The new breed in the organization comes from the different provinces of Central Visayas.

In his message, PCSUPT YORDAN challenged the recruits to perform their mandated duties and responsibilities with utmost certainty and proficiency. He added that the high expectations of PRO7 for their batch should not be perished by wrongdoings while in service.


The Disaster authorities, military, PNP and several government agencies conducted an emergency meeting yesterday in the Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) to prepare for the typhoon "PABLO" as it enters the Philippine Area of Responsibility.

According to the Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, Central Visayas is already under public storm signal no. 1 as per weather advisory dated December 3, 2012, 4:00AM by PAG ASA.
