In conformity with the invitation of the Commissioner General of Korean National Police Agency (KNPA), Republic of Korea, fourteen (14) members of PNP-PRO7 Delegation headed by the Regional Director, PCSupt Marcelo P Garbo Jr made an official visit to the Republic of Korea on October 23–26, 2012. Upon arrival in Korea, the hosts displayed an impressive reception to the delegates and total finest accommodation and generosity was extended.
It is indeed a big accomplishment for Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) when operatives from Negros Oriental Provincial Police Office (NOPPO) confiscated and seized loose firearms.
The team led by PSUPT ALET INTAC VIRTUCIO of NOPPO Provincial Intelligence Branch intercepted a Ceres Bus Liner at the Dumaguete City Port Area, Dumaguete City Negros Oriental on September 26, 2012. The bus is bound for Zamboanga from Dumaguete City via Pulawan Port, Dapitan City
Recovered and confiscated firearms are the following: seventeen (17) pcs caliber .45 pistol, two (2) pcs KG9 Submachine Gun, thirty seven (37) pcs magazine for caliber .45 pistols, six (6) pcs magazine for KG9 Submachine Gun and three (3) pcs silencer/ suppressor for KG9 Submachine Gun
Intelligence officers from Police Regional Office 7 arrested one of the members of Kambal Robbery Group.
The team composed of PSUPT PABLO G LABRA II from Regional Intelligence Division 7 together with the Mandaue City Police Office Operatives and in coordination with the Ozamis City Police Office, Regional Public Safety Battalion 10 and Misamis Occidental Provincial Police Office, successfully implemented a warrant of arrest against Dionisio Sagang Dumanjug in Sitio Manga, Barangay Catadman, Ozamis City on September 26, 2012.
Dumanjug known by the aliases Noel S. Davis, Noel Sagang, Kivin Tan and "Isyot" was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Sylva Paderanga for robbery with homicide charges.
Police Regional Office 7 aired its first weekly live TV show dubbed as "PRO7 Action Files" via the Cebu Catholic Television Network (CCTN) on June 7, 2012. This was made possible after the CCTN Management offered a one (1) hour free weekly slot to PRO7.
The program focuses significant accomplishments, innovations, best practices and other noteworthy programs being initiated by all units and offices of Police Regional Office 7. The segment includes interactive discussions with the invited guest or with the viewers, reporting on accomplishments and activities of the week and information dissemination. Viewers are encouraged to join in the discussion through text messages to accommodate issues and matters concerning peace and order in Central Visayas.
