April 11, 2018, a year after that tragic clash, Philippine Army troopers, PNP and all other affected Boholanos gathered together in Inabanga to commemorate the death and heroism of our fellow Filipinos who choose to spare their lives to protect the many.
The clashes marked the first recorded operation of the Abu Sayyaf group in the Visayas region of the Philippines, far from their strongholds in the Sulu Archipelago.
