Intelligence officers from Police Regional Office 7 arrested one of the members of Kambal Robbery Group.
The team composed of PSUPT PABLO G LABRA II from Regional Intelligence Division 7 together with the Mandaue City Police Office Operatives and in coordination with the Ozamis City Police Office, Regional Public Safety Battalion 10 and Misamis Occidental Provincial Police Office, successfully implemented a warrant of arrest against Dionisio Sagang Dumanjug in Sitio Manga, Barangay Catadman, Ozamis City on September 26, 2012.
Dumanjug known by the aliases Noel S. Davis, Noel Sagang, Kivin Tan and "Isyot" was arrested by virtue of a warrant issued by Regional Trial Court Judge Sylva Paderanga for robbery with homicide charges.
PSUPT LABRA said that the arrested person is a member of the Kambal Robbery group which was also involved in several robberies nationwide. Such group is headed by Ricky Cadamero, who is still at large. Dumanjug resisted arrest but was restrained by the arresting team.
Recovered from his possession were one (1) 45 cal. In a press conference held at PRO7 Media Center, a video footage from the security camera was shown by the authorities. Dumanjug was the man who disarmed the security guards of the pawnshop located in Magallanes Street, Cebu City. He was also involved in the 2007 robberies of UCPB and Land Bank in Quezon City and implicated in the robbery of the LBC Mall outlet in Banilad, Cebu City on November 2008.
PCSUPT MARCELO P GARBO JR, PRO7 Regional Director, on the other hand, lauded the team. The arrest of Dumanjug is the result of PRO7's thrust in its intensified campaign against wanted persons and service of warrants.
He believed that the activity of the group may be affected and paralyzed following the arrest of one of its members. He also directed all his men to track down the rest of the members especially their mastermind.
