A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the conduct of Korean Language Training was entered between PRO7 and the Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Cebu and the Cebu King Sejong Korean Language Institute in a ceremony held at the Regional Headquarters on October 10, 2016.
The MOU was signed by PRO7 Regional Director, PCSUPT NOLI G TALIÑO; OH SUNG YON, Consul General, Consulate of the Republic of Korea in Cebu; and MS. PARK EUN SIL, Director of Cebu King Sejong Korean Language Institute. Also in attendance were MS. SEON JIN KIM, Instructor of Cebu King Sejong Korean Language Institute; LEE YONG-SANG, Consul and Police Attaché, Consulate of the Republic Of Korea in Cebu; and KIM MIOK, General Manager of Cebu King Sejong Korean Language Institute.
The conduct of said training aims to reduce the language barrier that hampers the police in providing efficient services and to enhance the knowledge and skills in communicating Korean language and further promote friendly relations to Korean Community.
Aside from the MOU signing, PRO7 also conferred awards to deserving PNP personnel. The Medalya Ng Kagalingan was given to personnel of Naga City Police Station, CPPO for the neutralization of Number 4 Most Wanted Person in Naga City.
The awardees include the following: PO3 Gilmer L Noval, PO3 Reginald R Galamgam, PO3 Arnold Colico, PO3 Alexander Mendaros, PO2 Retchel Antipuesto and PO2 Jonathan B Largo.
