PRO 7 Promotes 49 Policemen

Promoted to the next higher rank are the forty-nine (49) Police Officers in Central Visayas broken down as follows: 3 from Police Chief Inspector to Police Superintendent; 3 from Police Senior Inspector to Police Chief Inspector; 40 Police Inspector to Police Senior Inspector; and 3 from Senior Police Officer 4 to Police Inspector.

In a formal ceremony held at PRO7 Headquarters on January 22, 2013, the pinning of ranks and oath of office was administered by PRO7 Regional Director, PCSUPT MARCELO P GARBO JR. with the attendance of the Command Group, Directorial Staff, Special Staff, and relatives of the promotees.

 PCSUPT GARBO applauded the newly promoted policemen and policewomen from all over the region to include those from the National Support Units (NSUs) of their well-deserved promotion. He said along with their success aside from the additional salary increase are the bigger responsibilities in keeping peace and order in their respective area of assignments.

On the other hand, revealed by PSSUPT NOEL ANGELES GILLAMAC, Chief of RPHRDD, the promotion was part of the Second Semester CY 2012 Regular Promotion Program for Second Level Commissioned and Non-Commissioned Officers in the Regional Office.

One of the highlights during the ceremony was the awarding of the certificate of appreciation to the Acting Regional Director (ARD) Jose S Conception Jr. representative of National Police Commission 7 (NAPOLCOM 7) in sincere recognition for his unselfish and invaluable support and assistance extended to Police Regional Office 7.
