Cops Behind the Neutralization of Robbery Suspect and Drug Personality Received Awards from PRO7

Nine (9) operatives from the Provincial Intelligence Branch (PIB) and Argao Police Station of Cebu Provincial Police Office (CPPO) received recognition from Police Regional Office 7 for their accomplishments in the performance of duty.

 PCSUPT PATROCINIO A COMENDADOR JR., Officer-in-Charge of PRO7 conferred the Medalya Ng Kagalingan to the members of the PIB, CPPO for the neutralization of Arnold Socias Torion, who died in a gunfight during a follow-up operation in Poblacion, Consolocaion, Cebu on April 7, 2016. Torion was one of the suspects of the heists in Gaisano Main and Junrex Cell Shop in Bogo City, Cebu and an identified remnant of the Ancero – Sumabong Criminal Gang that is involved in robbery, illegal drugs and gun-for-hire activities. The awardees were PSSUPT CLIFFORD B GAIRANOD, PSUPT RODOLFO ALBOTRA, SPO1 Reynaldo Solante and PO3 Lea Juarez.

 Likewise, personnel of Argao Police Station, CPPO were awarded the Medalya Ng Kagalingan by the Regional Director for their relentless campaign against Wanted Persons for which the most notable is the implementation of Warrant of Arrest for violation of RA 9165 on April 7, 2016. The operation resulted in the neutralization of Marlon Parantar Miñoza, who is one of the town’s Top 10 Drug Personalities. Miñoza resisted and was severely wounded at his chest and right arm during the exchange of gunfire that caused his death. The recipients of the awards are the following: PSINSP WILLIAM C HOMOC, SPO4 Esteban F Albuera, SPO2 Meliton Q Agadier Jr., PO3 Jamal Kiri P Camerino and PO2 Eugenio S Sarabello.

 PCSUPT COMENDADOR praised the awardees for their unrelenting and dedicated efforts. He also warned those who engaged in illegal activities that PRO7 under his leadership will be resolute in its campaign and will respond fearlessly and swiftly against them.
