Police Regional Office 7 Strong Fight Against Illegal Drugs and Disposed uprooted bulk of Marijuana Plants

With the eradication campaign of Police Regional Office 7 (PRO7) against illegal drugs, another bulk of marijuana plants which were uprooted by operatives of the Regional Intelligence Division (RID) were disposed of today, January 12, 2011.

PRO7 Regional Director PCSUPT AGER P ONTOG JR headed the burning of 195 fully-grown marijuana plants and 10 seedlings at the Regional Headquarters. It can be recalled that the said plants were uprooted on January 7, 2011 at Sitio Tarong, Barangay Bayong, Balamban Cebu in a raid conducted by RID.

Before the operation, SPO1 Wilfredo A Lapinid, Intel Operative of said office received an information from an informant who is also a member of Balamban BIN that a marijuana plantation was sighted in a secluded mountainous area of Balamban on January 5, 2011. After it was verified and confirmed, the team conducted a pre-operational plan on the following day with the lateral coordination of PDEA7, RPSB7 and 78th IB, PA.

PSUPT GLENN OLIVER CINCO, Deputy Chief, RID7 who led the operation, revealed that no cultivator/planter was arrested during the operation.
