PRO7 DRDA, now a Police Chief Superintendent

By the direction of HIS EXCELLENCY PRESIDENT BENIGNO AQUINO III, the Deputy Regional Director for Administration (DRDA) in Police Regional Office 7 is now promoted to a Police Chief Superintendent equivalent to brigadier general in the military.

PCSupt Samuel Mahusay Yordan took his oath on June 15, 2011 from Police Senior Superintendent to Police Chief Superintendent along with other 3rd level PNP Officers in a ceremony held at Camp Crame, Quezon City. It was administered by no less than the Philippine National Police Chief, Police Director General Raul M Bacalzo.

PCSupt Yordan is one of the 14 police officials who have been promoted to the rank of Police Chief Superintendent in permanent status effective June 3, 2011 pursuant to Section 38 (a) of RA 6975 as amended by RA 8551 and RA 9708. The new generals are as follows: PCSUPT Lester Oropesa Camba of PRO12; PCSUPT Jose Jorge Elizalde Corpuz of PRO11; PCSUPT Valiant Gube De Guzman of PRO3; PCSUPT Victor Pelota Deona of PRO5; PCSUPT Jesus Gordon Penida Descanzo of DIPO, NL; PCSUPT Roman Alona Felix of PRO1; PCSUPT Vicente Areno Loot of PRO8, former DRDO of this PRO; PCSUPT Manuel Peralta Pinera of PRO2; PCSUPT Catalino Bagaslao Rodriguez Jr. off PRO10; PCSUPT Elmer Ragadio Soria of PRO Cordillera; PCSUPT Francisco Allaga Uyami  of DIPO, SL; PCSUPT Noel Lazarus Catacutan Vargas of CSG; PCSUPT Mario Biong Yanga of PRO9; and PCSUPT Samuel Mahusay Yordan of PRO7. They are all holding the position of Deputy Regional Director for Administration, the second highest position in their respective regional offices.

His promotion was processed by the Senior Officers Placement and Promotion Board after which the Chief, PNP endorsed him to the National Police Commission. The Secretary of the Department of Interior and Local Government submitted his papers to the Civil Service Commission, which checked their records before submitting his application to the Office of the President for approval.
PCSUPT Yordan belongs to the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1981.

His promotion would further inspire other members of the police force to work harder and help in the effort of the organization to bring the police closer to the community.
