Construction of CCPO-Police Station 2 will soon rise in front of PRO7 Headquarters
A memorandum of Agreement (MOA) for the construction of Cebu City Police Station 2 was signed on March 28, 2011 held at the Regional Headquarters.
The Police Regional Office 7 on its mandate to maintain peace and order, the Cebu City Government who supervise and support the CCPO on its operational and administrative endeavors, the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Chong Hua Hospital with their adopt-a-police station program, unanimously signified their commitments to carry on the construction of Police Station 2 Building to be structured at the portion of PRO7annex lot specifically known as lot 1425 (in front of PRO7 Headquarters).
Said MOA was entered by the following parties: The Chong Hua Hospital (First Party) represented by its President and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Lim Liu; the Philippine National Police (Second Party) represented by PRO7 Regional Director PCSupt Ager P Ontog Jr.,; the Cebu City Government (Third Party) represented by Cebu City Mayor Michael Rama; and the Cebu Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Fourth Party) represented by its President, Samuel L Chiongson.
As mutually agreed, the Chong Hua Hospital committed to shoulder the cost and expenses of the construction (PNP Standard Police Station Building, Type C Revised) with an estimated cost of Five Million Five Hundred Thousand Pesos (P5, 500,000.00). The PNP on the other hand agreed to provide its property located right across PRO7, Camp Sergio Osmeña, Osmeña Blvd., Cebu City as the site for CCPO Station 2 and agreed to provide a temporary area for the bunkhouse, water and electricity during construction. The City of Cebu also agreed to provide the necessary building permits for the said project. And in coordination with the first party, the CCCI will provide a surveyed lot plan specifying the exact area and location of the police station building to be constructed.
