MCPO Operatives arrested one of the most wanted persons in Mandaue City
One of the most wanted persons in Mandaue City got arrested by virtue of Warrant of Arrest issued by Hon. Judge Ulric R. Cañete, presiding judge of Branch 55, RTC7, Mandaue City.
ALVIN ARABIS Y GALLEGO ALIAS ALVIN, 21 years old, married and a resident of San Vicente, Barangay Yati, Lilo-an, Cebu was arrested by operatives of Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO). The suspect is wanted for the crime of murder, docketed in criminal case number DU-16135.
With the information received from reliable tipsters, elements of Police Station 2, MCPO led by PO3 Allain S Carado immediately proceeded in area and upon arrival thereat, when the subject noted the presence of lawmen, he tried to evade arrest but was cornered and captured by the responding policemen on June 3, 2010 at Sitio San Vicente, Barangay Yati, Lilo-an, Cebu.
He is presently detained at Mandaue City Jail.
Arabis is the suspect in shooting to death of Richmond Limuran of Barangay Opao, Mandaue City on March 29, 2008 at the Semense Compound, Barangay Tipolo, Mandaue City. He went into hiding after shooting the victim. He left Cebu and hid in Mindanao but return back in the early part of 2010.
The presence of said subject in the above-mentioned area was reported by concerned citizens, Mr. Paulino B Purisima of Barangay Mabolo, Cebu City and Mr. Joseph D Jamili of Barangay Subangdaku, Mandaue City.
On March 14, 2011, during the Flag Raising Ceremony held at the Regional Headquarters, PRO7 Regional Director, PCSUPT AGER P ONTOG JR. and Acting Regional Director, National Commission on Muslim-Filipinos 7 DIR. MALO B MANONGGIRING handed over the reward money amounting P 90, 000.00 to the informants who tipped the police for the successful arrest of the wanted criminal.
